Dr. Foster 
, born in Chicago, moved to Dallas, Texas when he was two years old considers
himself a native born Texan since his earliest memories involve Texas. (He is crazy
about the Cowboys and the Longhorns! Hook ‘em horns!! ) His family moved during
his college years to Georgia and enrolled in Oglethorpe University, transferred and
graduated from Georgia State University in 1968.
Dr. Foster made his way to the Medical College of Georgia, now named The Georgia Health Sciences University College of Dental Medicine, where he had the honor of graduating in 1973 as a member of the Dental School’s first dental class. He opened his first office in Smyrna, Georgia. After five years, he moved his practice to the East Cobb area where he has been ever since.
As an active Emeritus member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northwest District Dental Society, as well as the Academy of General Dentistry and the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Foster recognizes that continuing education is a must in this ever changing field of dentistry. He travels to most of the major conventions taking classes in various areas of his field.
The entire office travels to the annual Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting
in Atlanta. The advances in dentistry and the technologies that have come
about in the last 50 years are fascinating and there are new ones every
day. It is this commitment to excellence that was recognized by his peers
and thus earned Dr. Foster the award from Atlanta Magazine as one of the
Top Dentists in the Atlanta Area.
