Dr. Robert Foster, Marietta GA Dentist

Dr. Bob Foster

Dr. Bob Foster opened his Marietta dentist office in 1974. He was born in Chicago but moved to Dallas, Texas when he was two years old. He considers himself a native born Texan since his earliest memories involve Texas. (He is crazy about the Cowboys and the Longhorns! Hook ‘em Horns!)

Dr. Foster graduated from the Medical College of Georgia. He travels to most of the major conventions taking classes in various areas of his field. Dr. Foster recognizes that continuing education is a must in this ever-changing field of dentistry. It is this commitment to excellence that was recognized by his peers and thus earned Dr. Foster the award from Atlanta Magazine as one of the Top Dentists in the Atlanta Area for several years in a row.

In addition to belonging to the ADA and the AGD, because of his extensive knowledge in the restoration of implants, Dr. Foster has been inducted as a member of the American Society of Implant Reconstructive Dentistry (ASIRD). Many dentists and surgeons can provide you with implants. However, most do not work or train together. Fewer than 15% of dentists perform five or more implants a year. Of these, only a few are selected for membership in ASIRD. Membership in the Society is by invitation only and restricted to dentists who meet this level of experience. ASIRD teams recognize optimal outcomes are the result of dentists working closely together with their surgeon to provide patients with a highly coordinated case treatment.

Dr. Foster as Don Quixote in a ballet production of Don Quixote by Atlanta Dance Central

Dr. Foster has been married for 44 years and has one grown daughter and a terrific son-in-law, who he considers his son. He is an avid reader of fiction, especially the authors of David Baldacci, Nelson DeMille, Clive Custler, John Grisham, Lee Child, Vince Flynn, and John Patterson. Since he reads a lot of books, he has started a “Take one, Leave one” book section in his office. One of his most favorite things is having cameo appearances in recitals and Christmas shows for his daughter’s dance studio in Roswell, Atlanta Dance Central. He once played Don Quixote in a ballet production of ADC. His latest role was a charity collecting penguin, complete with a penguin costume.

Stacey

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Stacey takes pride in the care she provides her patients from her top-notch dental hygiene skills to providing the knowledge and expertise on Oral Home Health education. Her bubbly personality and infectious laughter have been a pleasing addition to our team. Everyone who meets her likes her. Born and raised in Valdosta, Stacey is a southern girl. She has two children, a son at South Carolina, and a daughter who is at KSU hoping to transfer to GA Tech next term. One thing that a lot of people don’t know about Stacey is that she is a twin. She and her twin, Stephanie, look almost exactly alike. She is a perfectionist and wants to get every single piece of hard deposit out of a mouth in her care. Some call her the “Floss Boss”. Others say that they have been flossed so much at their appointment, that they feel they don’t have to floss until she flosses them next time. (Not true, folks)

Theresa

Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDA)

We are pleased that our dental assistant from 16 years ago has returned to our office as a full-time assistant. Theresa was kind to fill in when any of our former assistants had to be absent.

Theresa worked for us until she became pregnant with her son. Her son is now 16 years old! But, she has continued her education in assisting and during her absence worked part-time with other offices and us. However, we are a lucky full-time employer!

We are thrilled to have her positive, smiling attitude as well as her very professional capabilities. She knows Dr. Bob so well that he rarely has to ask for instruments or materials.

She has trained in various procedures that other assistants may not know, so she has had a lot of training as well as experience.

Welcome back, Theresa! We are so pleased you are here.

Tabitha

Business Administrator

When you telephone our office you will hear her cheerful voice. She has been here since February of 2011, and Dr. Foster is so pleased that she has chosen to work at our office. She has over 20 years in the dental field and is knowledgeable about all aspects of dentistry including treatment and insurance coverage. Tabitha will be the one making sure you receive every last cent you are due from your insurance benefits. Tabitha has a daughter who went to Maryland University on a full cheerleader scholarship. She now lives in Denmark and is expecting her first baby, making Tabitha a grandmother for the first time. Her son is an avid “tinkerer” and can fix anything. He likes snowboarding, motorcycle riding, and jet skiing. On Tabitha’s off days, she is an avid Orange Theory participant. She goes at least once a week and tries to go twice, if possible. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends on the weekends and is a great DIY home improvement genius. There is no team but Alabama according to Tabitha. Roll Tide!
