IBM lost a great software engineer when Abraham Williams retired in 2005 after 32 years. Abraham also worked 4 years for Accenture and was fully retired in 2012.

Abraham enjoys watching live sports on television, especially, the Atlanta Falcons and the Auburn Tigers since his son Abe graduated from there. He also enjoys listening to gospel, jazz, and “old school” tunes. He tells us that his favorite gospel singer is Tremaine Hawkins.Abraham loves being outside and currently is working on converting the wooded area behind his house into a “park like” setting. It is a good thing the project is open ended as he has to work on it when his “honey do” list is completed.

While attending Morehouse College, he had the opportunity to hear Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. speak. As a matter of interest, Abraham had the honor of serving as an usher at Dr. King’s funeral. He still has the armband that he wore that day! What a wonderful piece of history to pass down.

We enjoy seeing Abraham because he and Dr. Foster share stories from the past.

Congratulations, Abraham!
